I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to teach such a fantastic bunch of kids this year. I will never forget the kindness and generosity of you and your whanau.
I will miss you all! Keep working hard in 2014 and beyond.

Room 1 has been researching what it means to be a Global Citizen and how we can make a difference to Global Issues. We decided we wanted to help the people of the Philippians. We brainstormed ways we could raise money. We came up with a food raffle. We asked the school to bring donations of food. We made boxes and decorated them. We split the food among the boxes so we had 5 amazing prizes!
We sold tickets and raised about $550. This money goes directly to people in the Philippians who have been affected by the recent disaster. You can look up their facebook page ‘Help our people and hometown, Buhol’. The town is Lutao, Bohol, Philippians, where there was an earthquake even before the disaster. They need our support!
A big thank you to everyone involved. Mr Choromanski, Whaea Donna, Mrs Aiavio, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Cummings, all Room 1 Learners, Mrs Taylor, Pomaria Learners, and last but not least, Pomaria whanau! With your support we have made a difference!
Thursday the 21st of November was a big day at Pomaria School. Our Modern Learning Environments opened with a big ceremony! Here are some pics!
This is for Room 1 Learners. Take a peek, it will help you write quality comments to each other!🙂

Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms on record, battered the Philippines on Friday 8 November with ferocious winds and giant waves washing away homes and schools. It has forced an estimated one million people to flee to shelter, cutting power lines and destroying buildings.
At Pomaria we are Global Citizens trying to make a difference. This is one way we think we can help. You can donate anything from $1.
